Preparing the necessary documents
In order for your request to be processed effectively, please follow this advice:
Are you registered with a compulsory health insurance fund (in Luxembourg or abroad)?
No: Send the original or scanned invoices
Yes and the statutory health insurance (from Luxembourg or abroad) has covered part of the costs: send proof of reimbursement.
Your compulsory health insurance hasn't refunded you for your medical treatment:
submit the original invoices or a scan thereof.
General rule: As soon as your compulsory health insurance becomes involved, send your reimbursement statement. Otherwise, send the original invoice.
Prior authorisation for some specific healthcare treatments
Certain treatments require prior authorisation from DKV Luxembourg. For dental prostheses and orthodontics, please submit the quote approved by your compulsory health insurance under “DKV Refunds” in the “Submit a quote” section. If you have a scheduled hospital admission, please provide details about the duration, place and reason for your stay in the “Request a cost coverage” section.
Using easyAPP: a quick and practical solution
Simplify the refund process with easyAPP! Here’s how to use it:
Download the easyAPP in the App Store or in Google Play.
Create an account and log in: Follow the instructions to create your account and log in using your login ID.
Submit your documents: Scan the necessary documents (invoices and/or statements of compulsory health insurance) using the scan function on the app or download the PDF version. Please make sure that the documents are legible.
Although a scan of the original invoices is enough in the majority of cases, we recommend you keep the original documents. DKV Luxembourg reserves the right to request invoices in paper format. Send your request: check the information and send the request directly via the app.
